Having an online business has the lowest barrier of entry in any business that I can thought of. I mean you can start an online business with no money. a bricks and motor business can cost a lot of money upfront and it’s all on you to make it work. But the online business is very low cost and sometimes free if you do it right. John Chow at Johnchow.com was the first person I saw online talking about how low barrier of entry is it for having an online business and he show it on his YouTube channel. I didn’t follow what john was talking about with starting a blog and I regret it today. So let’s talk about the lowest barrier of entry in making money online.
Start a new YouTube channel:
I know that in most of my blog post I talk about starting a YouTube channel a lot but it’s the one thing that anyone can do and you can use your cell phone. Starting a YouTube channel is free, it’s free to upload videos and free to produce content. It’s the lowest barrier to entry to making money online. One of the best parts about YouTube is that you can make videos while you are at work on your lunch break. Making a video does not take but 10 mins and it’s on YouTube forever. Having a YouTube channel is having an asset, an asset makes you money, and it’s passive income. When you have ads running on your videos and people are watching your videos while you are sleep, well that’s passive income. You are making money from something that you made weeks ago. In order to be a YouTube partner you must has 1000 subs and 4000 hours of watch time in a year. It’s hard but not that hard if you work at it daily. Once you become a partner you can run ads on your videos for income. This is something you can start today and the only thing that you cost you is time.
Start a blog:
Starting a blog is one way to make money with low barrier of entry. Starting a blog cost very little money and it can make you a lot of money. I follow johnchow.com and he makes millions from his blog. I wish I had started my blog from the start. The cost for getting a blog up and running us around $15 bucks per year for a domain name and $4 bucks per month for hosting. Very low startup cost for blogging and with having a blog, it’s it site. These days of media sites taking down posts and taking down videos, having your own site is very important.
