Blogging is a great business to start and there will be mistakes made along the way. I wasted a lot of time trying new thing, not writing content and not doing certain thing that would have made my blog better today. Blogging is just one way to make money online and should be a part of anyone’s profile of making money.

Blogging is one of these business where you can work from home in your free time, blogging will not time all of your time, and blogging is fun to express yourself. What are some tips or good ways to start a blog that works. And if you want to start your blog today, you can click here to get hosting with bluehost. This are ways which I wish I would have done from the very start,

Pick a topic, it’s different what you think:

Yeah I am sure you heard pick a topic to write about but what people will not tell you is that picking a topic is the most important step of blogging. The topic you pick will be the main thing you write about everyday picking one that you know a lot about is the best thing I can tell you.

Your domain name can be your name or something related to your topic. In the past, people say pick a topic that has a lot of products to promote or something with low competition so you get more free traffic. Yes some topics are harder than others like weight loss, and anything dealing with medical  but for most people, most topic are OK if you can produce content on a regular basis that will help people.

Getting into a topic based on how much money you can make is not going to last, you will get burned out writing that content, it will take more time since you may have to do more research, and it’s not going to be as good with other people who knows it all.

Picking a topic that you can talk about all day and all night is something you should pick. I wasted my time with Google sniper which was a program that teaches you how to build sties based on a product you want to promote and you would buy a domain name based on the product you are promoting and then write 3 to 5 blog post about that product.

It worked for a while but when Google did an update, that those sites got hit hard and that didn’t work anymore. Some people buy expired domain names with a lot of backlinks thinking that  would have some link juice but that doesn’t work.

People try to take short cuts in things and blogging is one of those things where you should not be taking short cuts in. I have brought domains due to the low competition but the topic based on the domain name was so hard to write content for so I end up selling off the domain and I have wasted time.

Set up a schedule to post content:

This step is something I wish I had done in the past. After starting your blog, you should create a posting schedule, how many post will you do per week? Whatever do chooses to do , do it. You can use the WordPress time stamp schedule out your post in the future.

I love the feature cause if you have something coming up during the week or weekend, your blog post will still go live while you are doing something else so it will save you time. On this blog, I have enough post scheduled out for the next 2 months. Now I can take a break and work on something else.

Also batching your blog post works good too. Sit down in your share time and write 3 to 4 post per week, once per week. I work 40 plus hours per week so writing a lot of content at one time helps then schedule them out for the next week and the following week is the best thing to do.

So when life happens, you have a cushion of content and time to write more. I know that you may hear about publishing your content as soon as you write it and you should do that too. I do that with some blog post but I like to schedule my post out. I like to take breaks from blogging and enjoy life a little bit. You can do 2 post per week, now go write 4 post and now you are done for 2 weeks. Now you have time to do that YouTube channel or start another blog.

Content is King:

You have heard this over and over again that content is king and it is king. Once you started your blog, go ahead and find your theme and set up the blog how you want it to look. Don’t take too much time cause over time you may change the look and feel of the blog.

Once your blog look and feel is done, the only thing to do is to produce content. At this point all of your time should be producing content your site. Sometimes that can be hard over time when you don’t know what to write about. Be sure to place your blog topic into Google and see what comes up and see who else is writing about what you are writing about.

I learned this from https://incomeschool.com/ and please check them out for learning how to blog. Income school has taught me a lot about blogging, so please check them out. That one thing I do use when I don’t have time to write a post or when I have something to write about but I don’t know how to write it or much about it, then I use Iwriter to hire me a writer to write content for me. You can check them out here if you click here:

With myself writing content and hiring an writer to write content, the blog gets moving in the right path for success. Investing money into your blog should one thing you can do to help the blog. I would not buy traffic to your blog. I would spend that money hiring a writer to write a nice post that will rank on Google for a long time.  I would also say that it takes a long time to rank on Google.

So don’t wait around to get your blog rank, build something else in the meantime. If there was a business you wanted to start, then go start that business. The blog will take 8 months or longer to ranked so work on something else in the meantime. Those are a few steps to start with when staring a new blog.
