Most people think that most Youtubers use high price equipment to film their videos and that is far from the truth. Yes some big time YouTubes do use expensive filming equipment for their videos but they have a big enough audience to support the expensive equipment they have. If you are just starting out with YouTube, you don’t need to spend a lot of money. when I first started YouTube I used my cell phone and till this day, I still use my cell phone for videos. I have been on YouTube for about 5 years and I still use my smartphone for videos and writing blog post.
Everyone has a smartphone and all smartphones have decent camera on it and you can upload your video from your phone to YouTube. So that just one way that youtubers record their content. Now you can buy a camera if you want to and I found this one on amazon for a nice price( click for the camera from amazon) but you don’t have to get one if you don’t want to. I would rather get video editing software for my videos than a new camera. I use filmora and it only cost me $60 dollars onetime fee which it’s great for my videos. So if I had to spend money, I would buy video editing software.
For my gaming videos, I use mixer which is a streaming service for gaming. Mixer can record your game play for your entire stream and they will hold the stream for 14 days. Make sure that you pick the option in your mixer dashboard settings to allow mixer to hold your videos for 14 days. For some reason is off and you need to turn that feature on. Once you have your stream from mixer you can download that video to your laptop or desktop and then reload that same video onto your video editing software. From there you can edit the video then upload that video to YouTube. You should have some type of video editing software on your computer but if you don’t filmora works well and it has a feature where you can upload to YouTube from filmora. That makes it easier to get more content onto YouTube and you can record your screen with filmora.
You Don’t need a lot of tools to record your videos for YouTube and don’t let that stop you from making YouTube videos. Use your Smartphone and just get started and make videos today.
