To be honest, I would not have a co-founder for your blog unless you and someone else comes up with the blog. With two people running the blog, the best thing that you can do is have rules and write everything down on paper on ownership and who owns what and who does what. I understand people who wants someone to help them run or they can run the blog together but please make sure that any profits of the blog is spilt and you have everything in writing and both patties sign off. I think you can run a blog by yourself or you can hire some people to run the blog but the blog should be yours only to be honest. Since writing content is not hard and you can do this at any time, running a blog is not hard and If I wanted help with the blog, I would pay someone to write content for blog.

I am not saying that you can’t have a co-founder for your blog but when it starts making money, things can get tested with some people. If you and someone are on the same page and wants to build a new blog, then go for it but just have things in writing to be on the safe side. I run this blog thexking.com by myself and I do hire a few writers from time to time but I love the 100% total of the blog and the look and feel. To be honest once you have the blog theme and layout, the only thing to do is produce content for the site. Now you hire someone to do some paid traffic online, that is fine but it’s juts easier when you have your own site.

I think co-founder for a YouTube channel would be better since one person can shoot and edit the video and the other person can be on camera and you two can spilt the profits from the channel. There are more co-founders of YouTube channels than blogs. So if you want to have a co-founder for your blog then there is nothing wrong with that. But you don’t have to do that if you don’t want and if only you two can be on the same page with the blog and the work for the blog is spilt 50/50. I see married people doing something like this, both of them running the blog which is nothing wrong and it does help with the work load.
