Lets face it, mosquitoes and other annoying insects are a pain to deal with and trying to have fun in the summer can be hard with mosquitoes and other annoying insects. Paying a company to come out and spray your house and yard is a good idea but paying that money per month can be costly. I was paying okin to spray my home and they are a great service to have but paying to bill was a pain. I was paying $40 per month which is not bad but the problem I wanted them to come inside and spray and I work during to week and they are busy on the weekends. Also they only spray the outside the home and not the backyard where mosquitoes were hiding out.

So I wanted to take care of the mosquitoes in my backyard plus spray the whole backyard and front and inside my home as well, so I looked up some things that I can do myself that cost way less. So I picked up Cutter Backyard Bug Control Spray from amazon. ( you can click here to check it out) I have to say that this stuff just works. This bottle goes into your water hose and it has a handle to control the water. You can cover a lot of ground with this product and I did see a big drop in mosquitoes. I used to get bitten all the time in my backyard, now it’s way better. I am talking about getting bit over 40 times till now it’s 3 or 4 times. One quick note, on the bottle it says it can last up to 12 weeks. I am not sure about that nor I didn’t test to see if that possible and it may be but on amazon it says controls up to 4 weeks, even after rain. So I put this down once per month during the summer and maybe some times during fall. The price of this bottle is good and cost around $10 dollars and it can spray across 5000 feet.

So I use Cutter Backyard Bug Control Spray for trees, bushes, grass and big open areas and wooded areas where mosquitoes are. Mosquitoes breed in water so make sure there is no standing water around your home.

The next product I use is called Talstar Pros Pest Control Insecticide. This stuff is what the pros use around your home. This stuff works, with me putting this down around my home and around doors, it kills everything and keep bugs out. 1 oz per 1 gallon of water so you will need a sprayer and I would get a 3 or 4 gallon sprayer. I have a 1 gallon sprayer and that will not make it around my house until the gallon is gone and I have to make a new mix to finish.  Here a 3 gallon sprayer you can check out: Click here

Tarstar pro comes in different prices and it can be pricey, the 1 pint cost $36 bucks and that is the smallest size so thats why I really only use this on the house and use the cutter for the backyard. Tarstat pro is good for the backyard to but it can be pricey. Here’s the link to tarstar pro
