There is no magic number to go by in the stock market world and I am not telling the amount of stocks needed to be considered diversified because everyone has a different number that they go by. If you look into ETF which is considered diversified,
You will see that ETF may have over 200 or more stocks inside the ETF and that’s a lot of stocks to own. So I am not an expert in the stock market but to answer this question, I would say to be considered diversified I would have a least 10 to 12 different stocks to be considered diversified And they should be in different sectors of the stock market.
