When you are just started blogging, for the most part will have some many ideas and blog post that you want to write from the start. You want to plan out the whole year of content but don’t know how to do some. In the year 2021 I said I will do one new blog post per day for the whole year and it was not easy and I made some mistakes along the way.

Planning you blog content for the whole year is not easy and the best thing that you can do is have a plan in place and a back up plan if the first plan do not pan out. Sometimes life gets in the way of blogging so you must keep that in mind when planning out your content for the whole year.

The benefits of planning out content for the whole year is that you don’t have to worry too much about content because you have that out planned out and scheduled out so you don’t have to worry too much but getting to that point is not easy. So lets talk about what happen to me and how you can plan out your content for the whole year.

How do you plan your blog content for the whole year?

The first thing that I did was come up with as many blog topic to write about. This may take weeks but one of the best things that you can do is come up with as many topic to write about. What I did was take my note pad and write down 30 to 40 different blog post to write. You can also do a YouTube video and turn that into a blog post. You can write 600 too 700 words and include your YouTube videos in the post. This will help with content and planning out what to do.

Create a schedule is the next thing that you have to do. How many blog post are you going to do per week? It’s total up to you and you have the follow though on what you want to do. if you want to do 3 post per week, then write 6 blog post and schedule them out for the next two weeks.

What days do you want your post to go live? Maybe Monday Wednesday and Friday. Maybe you want to do 2 post per week. What ever you pick, please stick with it. if you don’t have a lot of time, I would do 2 post per week. You can post them Monday and Friday of each week. So with that 2 post per week, I would write up 8 post in one day and schedule them out for the whole month.

This will give you more time to write and you have more time to come up with more topic to write. Also this gives you a cushion so when life happens or you just don’t have the time to write, you are good because you have a month of content to relay on.

There are some WordPress calendar plugins that you can use. Here a blog post that I found that have a list of WordPress calendars that you can use for your blog: https://webdesign.tutsplus.com/tutorials/20-best-wordpress-calendar-plugins-and-widgets–cms-25906 Make time for your blog and based on your schedule during the week, how many blog post can you write per week.

Whatever the number is, stick with that and write more content ad schedule out your content when you can. For me, doing a post per day was a lot on me so the year of 2021 I did a post per day and hit my goal but next week I think I will slow down and do 3 post per week. I would wrote up 6 blog post and then schedule them out for the next 2 weeks. This is easier for me and me working a full time job and a family at home. Plus my blog would be better and I can spend more time wrote better content.

Create your schedule for your content. Know what your objective is so you when what you are doing. Understand what people want, people look up info everyday and as a blogger it’s your job to answer the question. Do some keyword research and use a WordPress calendar plugin so help planning out your content.
