Can you run an affiliate marketing business while working a full time job at the same time? Yes and I am living prof of that right now. In fact I 40 plus hours and I on some weekends drive for Uber and I have a wife and son to spend time with so my time is very limited when running an affiliate marketing business while having a full time job at the same time. The real question is how do you run an can you run an affiliate marketing business while working a full time job at the same time and what are some things you can do so that you can build up the business.
Well in this post I will go over what I did to manage my time, my full time job and family so I can build this business up so one day I can quit my job cause that is my goal so I can have more family time and more time to make money online.
The one thing you can’t get back is time:
Yes the one thing that you can’t get back is time. So with that being said, lets say you are starting or running a blog from home and you need time to write blog posts. One thing that I do is try to write a blog post at work so I don’t have to do one at home. If you have a desk job like me, you do have time in your day or your lunch break, instead of being on you phone, lets write a blog post. If your job has email, you can write a blog post as a email and then email to yourself and then when you get home you can edit and copy and paste to your blog.
Please make sure that you are doing this in your time like your lunch break or you break that you get from work. Please do not anything for your online during your work time cause we don’t want no one to get in trouble or lose their job. if you drive or work inside a building or work in a warehouse, you can write a post on your smartphone using the WordPress app. Here’s the link to WordPress so you can download to your phone, https://wordpress.org/mobile/ I use this at my desk as well and when I am on the go or visiting family.
The goal here is to maximize your time the best way you can. Your job will take up most you’re your time. Starting a YouTube channel is the same thing where you can use your cell phone to shoot videos. When I am on my lunch break, I like to go to my car make use my phone to make a video. Hell I will shoot 3 to 4 videos on break and you can do the same thing.
The goal is to use your time wisely cause we can’t get back time. The next step is to cut out time sucking things like being on Facebook all day or watching videos on YouTube that will not help you make money online. For me, I had to cut out playing the Xbox on night, watching TV all night and I had to cut out things that was wasting my time. Now I get up early like 6 in the morning and we work from home right now, I get up at work and start working for my job so I can have time to work on running my affiliate marketing business. In fact if you have to drive to work, maybe try to get up one hour early so you can write that post before you go to work.
One thing that I do is write up a to do list everyday that has all the videos I will make and all the blog post that I will write. This way when I have that one hour to work, I have a list of things and I can start ASAP without my wasting my time trying to figure out what to do.
Cutting out things that will waste your time and getting up early to get things done are the two best thing you can do to save time. So my thing is this, everyday do something that will push your affiliate marketing business forward. It may take 30 mins but do that one thing per day like shoot that YouTube video when you only have one hour of free time. Over time you will change the way to do things and you will start to put things together and you will start to see how much time you really have and how to make the best of it.
I have been doing this for the past 5 years and I am still adding things and taking things out all the time and changing the way I run my affiliate marketing business. It does not take a lot of time to do this business and to be honest, if you truly want to do this business you will make the time and do it. You will find the time though the day and run your affiliate marketing business.
We have a dream of making passive income online and we have a dream where we can quit our jobs and do this thing full time so we can spend more time with family and the good thing about this and keep this in mind, if your affiliate marketing business can replace your full time job then you will have more time if only you run your affiliate marketing business the best that you can do and don’t quit your job until your affiliate marketing business can replace your income from that job.
